Abstract

The roof of a caravan is so solidly constructed of panels as to permit the roof to be used as the floor of a living area. Access to the roof is by way of a trap-door in the roof and a movable ladder or a spiral staircase. On the roof may be provided foldable and removable side panels of canvas or wood, and the living area may be enclosed by a foldable roof. The roof is flat and is constructed of panels of sandwich construction incorporating insulation. Support for the roof is provided by the partitions in the caravan, and by extending the furniture to the roof.
