Abstract

L'invention concerne un suppresseur d'écho adaptatif destiné à la transmission simultanée et bilatérale de données sur un circuit bifilaire. Il comporte des circuits qui effectuent un traitement des signaux dans les intervalles de Nyquist plutôt que dans les intervalles de temps élémentaires, de manière que la correction soit indépendante des écarts de synchronisation entre le terminal local et le terminal éloigné. Le signal d'écho est supprimé totalement. Le suppresseur d'écho consiste de préférence en une structure transversale. L'invention s'applique notamment à la transmission des données numériques par l'intermédiaire du réseau téléphonique commuté.
