Abstract

Device for removal of sedimentation water from a cement casting filling the locating sleeve for the upright reinforcing bars, or cables, consists of a bell surmounting the paper anchoring device for the reinforcement bars, above the prestressing structure and above the locating sleeve, and sealed to the interior of the sleeve, and a reservoir connected, on the one hand to the bell, and on the other hand, to >=1 point of the upper part of the sleeve. The connection between the reservoir and the bell is an opt. flexible tube connected to the reservoir by a central pipe. Water can be removed before serious rusting sets in, this is especially important in the core of multistranded cable reinforcement, when the water can penetrate between strands. Since the bell always contains surplus concrete mix, the water never reaches the reinforcing cables or bars.
