Abstract

The sound-proof wall is formed of wall elements (1) arranged between pillars (2). Each of the wall elements (1) is formed from two panels arranged one behind the other. These panels (1) form an exterior face of the wall. Each panel (1) contains a sound-proof material. The panels are connected to each other by straps (6). The space between the panels can be varied by pivoting the straps (6) around their fixing axes. The straps (6) of a wall element (1) are parallel and connect two panels so as to form a hinged parallelogram. Between a wall panel element and a side of the pillars there is a sealing band. This band mates the two surfaces and prevents the transmission of sound.
