Il s'agit d'éthers diphényliques comportant en des positions spécifiées, des substituants nitro, cyanoalcoxy, halogéno, alcoyle, trifluoralcoyle. Herbicides dotés d'une excellente spécificité et d'une faible phytotoxicité à l'égard des plantes utiles cultivées.
