Abstract

Battery voltage for e.g. traffic signalling in motor vehicles has a tendency to fall as the battery runs down. The present system makes best use of the battery by devices delivering a feed-back signal representative of a lamp operation factor. A switching unit between the battery relatively constant light flux over a wide range of source voltage. The switch connects the lamp pulse-like, with the on-off ratio depending on the feed-back signal.
