Abstract

PURPOSE: To drive a specified load to saturation at a constant current in a single circuit constitution, by selectively switching activation of a constant-current source and activation of a bias means which gives a bias to an output-transistor contol electrode.
CONSTITUTION: A constant current source 1 is activated by switching a movable contact d of a switch S to a fixed contact point b in a switching circuit 2 and one end of a resistor 2 is grounded, thereby a transistor TRQ2 for driving a load L1 is driven at a constant current. A base bias circuit 3 for the output TRQ1, which comprises TRQ3, diode D3, resistors R5 and R6, is provided so as to drive the output TRQ1, saturate TRQ2, or to bring them to the nearby states of said operations. Then, TRQ3 is turned on by switching the contact d to another fixed contact point c, thereby the bias circuit 3 is activated. In this very simple single-circuit constitution, the load can be driven at a constant current to saturation.
