Abstract
Female connector which may be either single or double sided. The socket is esp. suitable for use as edge connectors for P. C. Bs and includes either one or two sprung leaf contacts. The leaf (16) is introduced into its insulated housing as a flat strip having a short tongue (11) pressed out from one surface serving to trap the leaf end in a slot at the rear of the housing. The sprung curve of the leaf is formed by a shaped tool (13, 19) pressing down on one surface, the free end (18) of the leaf being trapped during this operation by a plug (12) entering the housing from the P.C.B. entry point.
