Abstract
L'invention concerne les plasmotrons. Le plasmotron comporte un corps dans lequel se trouve une électrode cylindrique creuse 2 refroidie par eau, dont le fond est orienté vers un élément d'amenée courant 4 et dont l'autre bout se trouve en contact avec un dispositif de tourbillonnement 10 en matière isolante se trouvant lui-même en contact avec une buse 12 refroidie elle aussi par eau, et est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une spirale conductrice de courant 3 embrassant l'électrode cylindrique creuse 2 et séparée de celle-ci par un intervalle, l'une des extrémités de ladite spirale étant connectée audit élément d'amenée de courant, tandis que son autre extrémité est connectée audit autre bout de l'électrode cylindrique creuse. Le plasmotron en question peut être utilisé notamment pour la coupe des métaux, le rechargement et l'application de revêtements, l'usinage de la surface des métaux.
