Abstract

Mandrin expansible remarquable en ce qu'il comporte une pluralité de segments de serrage S logés dans des rainures longitudinales pratiquées dans l'arbre 1 qui fait partie du corps C du mandrin, leur nombre et leur disposition assurant le meilleur et le plus précis serrage possible de la pièce à usiner; chacun desdits segments est réalisé sous forme d'une bande en un matériau résistant, résilient et élastique et peut comporter à chacune de ses extrémités des parties verticales 11 qui sont en contact avec l'organe transmetteur de l'effort de serrage 8 et un organe faisant fonction de contre-butée 3 respectivement, et au moins un élément de serrage 20 de la piece à usiner P constitué à chacune de ses extrémités par une partie horizontale 21 appliquée contre le fond de ladite rainure dans l'arbre 1 du mandrin et deux parties 22 montantes inclinées l'une vers l'autre reliées entre elles au sommet par une partie horizontale 23 dont la face supérieure est appliquée fermement contre la pièce à usiner P lors du serrage; les espaces libres V1 , V2 ainsi créés de part et d'autre de la bande sont au moins partiellement remplis d'un matériau élastomère E; des moyens 6 étant, en outre, prévus pour maintenir les segments dans leurs rainures.
