Abstract

Procédé visant à isoler l'escine des marrons d'Inde. On extrait des marrons d'Inde broyés par un mélange comprenant un alcool aliphatique saturé d'eau et de l'eau saturée d'alcool aliphatique, on purifie la phase organique obtenue au moyen d'eau saturée d'un alcool aliphatique de même nature et, de phase organique ainsi purifiée, apres un changement de polarité, on extrait l'escine par une solution aqueuse de bicarbonate alcalin à un pH de 5,0 à 5,5. Isolation de l'escine des marrons d'Inde à toutes fins, notamment pour préparation de médicaments.
