Abstract

Cet article comprend une feuille de support en une matière imperméable aux fluides, une feuille de couverture perméable aux fluides, un premier tampon absorbant adjacent à la feuille de couverture, constitué d'une masse de fibres lâches, et un second tampon absorbant séparé, placé entre le premier tampon et la feuille de support, le second tampon étant constitué d'une masse de fibres présentant des régions comprimées s'étendant sur une partie importante du second tampon et présentant des zones relativement non comprimées voisines desdites régions comprimées, l'espace moyen entre les fibres de ces régions étant sensiblement inférieur à l'espace moyen entre fibres des zones non comprimées du premier tampon, lesdites régions comprimées transmettant rapidement les fluides du corps à des parties éloignées du second tampon pour être retenus dans lesdites zones non comprimées en un point espacé de la feuille de couverture.
