Abstract
A hoist designed for repair of roofs or the upper parts of buildings, is designed to be mounted on the roof itself. The winding drum (5) for the lifting cable (13), and its drive motor (6) are supported on a mast (1) consisting of an upper tube (2) and lower tube (3). A jib arm (7) attached to a pivot and ring (4) at their connection, can be slewed around the mast. The foot of the mast is supported by a frame (15) retained by chains (33, 34) extending backwards across the roof. The mast is supported also by legs (25, 26) extending sideways and resting on blocks (27, 28). Two tie rods (16, 17) also extend from the upper connection point with the mast, to the frame. Between each tie rod and leg, at the bottom is an adjustable connection (29, 30).
