Abstract

Front-loading drum washing machine comprises balance weights attached to a supporting ring which is associated with the front wall of the tub. The front wall and supporting ring with an intermediate sealing ring are clamped onto the tub by a clamping band. The clamping band pref. has a U- or V-shaped cross-section and consists of two ring halves clamped together, with its arms encompassing an upturned tub edge and the outer edges of the front wall and supporting ring. The drum is easy to insert or remove when the front wall is detached, and the front wall, which is made of high-quality material, can be made thinner.
