Abstract

For the purpose of electroless metal coating of objects by means of highly alkaline baths, vats (W) or frames consist of metals of group 8 of the Periodic Table of the Elements or of other substances having a metallic coating from this group. During the electroless metal deposition, the vat (W) or the frame in question is exposed to an anodic load with a current density of at least 4mA/dm<2>. The effective surface of the cathodic counter electrode (G) is smaller by at least an order of magnitude than the effective anode surface. These measures ensure that no metal deposition and corrosion occur on the anodic side.
