Abstract

The girder-supported floor has top and bottom walls joined by sidewalls with shoulders so as to rest on the girders and vertical intermediate walls. It has a central vertical wall (116) of sufficient mechanical strength to support the portions of the bottom wall (112) on either side of it. These parts are connected to the sidewalls (113,113a) by relatively thin sections (115,115a) forming breakage zones in the event of expansion of the bottom wall due to fire. The central wall can be thick and reinforced, or formed by a steel wire frame.
