La paroi arrière est constituée par un panneau articulé aux rebords de ladite embase et les parois latérales sont constituées de deux panneaux articulés entre eux selon une articulation verticale, tandis que la paroi frontale est formée de deux panneaux articulés entre eux selon une articulation horizontale, de telle sorte que le panneau supérieur de ladite paroi constitue un moyen d'accès à l'intérieur du conteneur. Les parois latérales peuvent ainsi être repliées sur le panneau arrière à la manière d'un soufflet et le cadre peut ensuite être rabattu à l'intérieur de l'embase Des pieds sont prévus pour permettre le gerbage des conteneurs pliés ou dépliées. Un tel conteneur est plus particulièrement destiné au stockage et au transport de marchandises.
