Abstract

The hinge is for a door mounted in a frame let into a wall. It comprises two metal angle sections placed alongside each other and joined together by a series of hinge portions (10, 11) fixed to one or the other of them. The angle sections are fixed to the opposite edges of door and frame upright, and each extend for the full height of the door at least. They can be secured to door and upright at several different points along them. The angle sections can cover the corners of door and upright and also the adjacent faces, being fixed to the latter by two rows of screws at right angles to each other.
