Abstract

A self-contained loud-speaker enclosure, also known as an assisted baffle, does not need any cable interconnection excepted with the source of modulated signal. The enclosure has a loud-speaker (HP2), a low frequency amplifier (BF2) and a connector (O) for the cable from the sound source. The sound source may be a music centre stereophonic complex or magnetic tape player with a low frequency output. The low frequency output is a sound modulated signal. The enclosure also contains a tuner (A2, HF2, D2) connected to a second input of the low frequency amplifier (BF2). The tuner (A2, HF2, D2) has a high frequency amplifier (HF2) and a detector (D2). It can pick up frequency modulated signals.
