PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of a shocking tone at the time of channel selection and preset, by obtaining a demodulated output of an audio demodulation circuit of intercarrier system at opening of a cover of a containing section. CONSTITUTION:When a cover of a containing section where a channel preset operator is accommodated is opened and a preset volume is adjusted, a switch element 50 turns on, a signal 1 is respectively applied to amplifiers 27 and 33 and an output signal of the amplifier 27 is muted. Thus, the circuit is switched to a demodulation circuit of intercarrier system. Thus, at the preset volume adjustment, since the response of a frequency discrimination circuit 26 and a comparison circuit 41 in transient state is not faster enough, a shocking tone generated can be eliminated. Then, an audio output corresponding to the scrren tuning is obtained, allowing to confirm the channel selection while listening to sound.
