Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce the composite low-frequency component of a left and a right channel signal without providing a center channel, by providing a phase rotating circuit to an input circuit for electric power amplification of one channel. CONSTITUTION:A signal from the signal source 1 of a left amplifier L is rotated by a low-frequency phase rotating circuit 51 until only the low-frequency component becomes out of phase, and then outputted. Further, a signal from the signal source 11 of a right amplifier R is outputted while in phase with the input signal. Those outputs drive a left speaker 23 and a right speaker 43 through high-pass filters. Although signals are supplied to a speaker 34 of a center channel from power amplifiers 3 and 13 through low-pass filters, only the out-of- phase component from the power amplifier 3 flows as an output current. Therefore, the speaker 34 reproduce the signal of the low frequency component.
