Abstract

Détecteur à scintillation antichocs. Il comprend une enveloppe allongée contenant un cristal à scintillation constitué par un halogénure de métal alcalin, coaxial et s'étendant suivant la longueur de l'enveloppe. Une fenêtre de verre en ferme une extrémité et est séparée de l'une des extrémités du cristal. Un obturateur se trouve à l'extrémité opposée de l'enveloppe, à distance de l'autre extrémité du cristal. Un élément élastigue déformable est situé entre l'obturateur et l'autre extrémite du cristal. Un élément de couplage en caoutchouc de silicone flexible est situé entre le cristal et la fenêtre. Il a une épaisseur axiale d'au moins 7,6 mm et un coefficient de transmission de la lumière élevé à une longueur d'onde de 3 000 à 5 000 angströms. Applications notamment aux vaisseaux spatiaux et aux forages pour le pétrole.
