Abstract

L'invention concerne les moteurs à combustion interne. Les émissions des hydrocarbures et de l'oxyde de carbone d'un moteur ayant un réacteur thermique d'échappement non catalytique, sont notablement réduites par utilisation d'un mélange pauvre lors du fonctionnement normal et d'un mélange riche au ralenti, l'injection d'air étant limitée afin que les gaz d'échappement au ralenti contiennent 2 à 5 % en volume d'oxygène environ. Application à la réalisation de moteurs à combustion interne peu polluants.
