Abstract

L'invention concerne un four continu à atmosphère contrôlée et un procédé de traitement thermique. Plusieurs pots sont suspendus à une voûte circulaire tournant dans un plan horizontal et sont disposés sur un cercle dont le centre correspond à l'axe de rotation de la voûte. Chaque pot comporte un corps ouvert à sa partie supérieure et un cou vercle capable de fermer cette dernière. La matière à chauffer est supportée par un élément de suspension fixé au couvercle de chaque pot et ledit couvercle est abaissé pour placer la matière da ns le pot et pour le fermer. Le four comporte un distributeur de gaz dont le centre coïncide avec l'axe de rotation de la voûte et qui est relié aux pots par des conduits d'alimentation et d'éva cuation du gaz. Application au traitement thermique continu en atmosphère réglée, notamment pour le brassage de l'aluminium, le traitement thermique de l'acier inoxydable, du laiton, etc.
