Abstract

The gas is admitted through the pipe (21) with the primary combustion air being fed through the annular space (17). The burner ends with a grill (22) above which combustion takes place (15). A pilot light (27) and thermo-couple (28) ensure that the gas may be lit. A deflector paddle (23) is mounted on two supports (26) at the top of the cylinder (16). The deflector has a number of angled blades (25) to create turbulence in the gas. The combustion chamber is covered by a conical outlet which is connected to a smaller pipe (13). The pipe is fitted inside an outer cone (19) which admits secondary combustion air to the annular space (20).
