Abstract

L'invention concerne l'affinage des métaux. Elle se rapporte à un procédé d'affinage selon lequel un gaz inerte est projeté par un injecteur 35 sous forme de petites bulles préchauffées, dirigées radialement vers l'extérieur et vers le bas, dans un récipient 34, afin qu'il se forme une circulation de métal indiquée schématiquement par les flèches 50, le gaz entraînant les gaz dissous dans le metal fondu et transportant les impuretés non métalliques dans une couche de laitier 48 formée à la surface du métal fondu. Application à l'affinage du magnésium, du cuivre, du zinc, de l'étain et du plomb.
