Abstract

The multiple connection strip, for coaxial cables, consists of a moulded plastic strip with a U-shaped cross-section and two rows of parallel holes to accommodate the cylindrical connecting pieces (3, 4) for the cables. V-shaped retaining clips (13) are formed on the sides of the strip to clamp the cables. The holes have circular walls (2) on the inside of the strip to hold the collars or sleeves that enclose one half of the connecting pieces. Earthing tags (16) are fixed to the sleeves (3) and a further earthing tag (21, 22) clips -across one end of the strip to accept a soldered-on earth wire. The connections can be coded by writing on special surfaces attached along the strip.
