Abstract

The clamp connector, for wire ends, consists of a metal tag with an axial slot set into one end and extending partway along it. The entrance to the slot is widened into a V to allow the wire end to be pushed easily into the slot. The sides of the slot bite into the wire. The arms flanking the slot are drawn together by a clip arrangement or by a collar. The slot can accept wires of different diameters. Several slots may be located parallel in the same tag. Alternatively, a split tube may be used instead of a flat tag.
