Abstract

a. Joint annulaire en matière élastomère résiliente, avec gorge s'étendant axialement et un ressort placé entre deux parties reliées entre elles, dont au moins l'une porte une lèvre d'étanchéité qui s'avance dans le sens radial opposé à l'emplacement du ressort, cette gorge présentant des parties arquées écartées l'une de l'autre par le fond de la gorge, qui sont en contact d'entourage avec les surfaces opposées du ressort; b. Joint caracterisé en ce que le fond de la gorge est une partie d'une ellipse avec un contact embrassant une partie juxtaposée du ressort seulement quand la lèvre d'étanchéité est placée sous une charge compressive, cette lèvre étant soumise à cette charge de compression seulement quand le joint est monté dans une position assurant l'étanchéité hermétique avec une surface; c. Joint appliqué à des surfaces de fermeture hermétique.
