Abstract

The container is made from thermosetting plastic material and is in the form of a tub, with tapered sides. The container is closed by means of a membrane lid stretched over the open top of the tub. The lid is stretched in such a way as to form a slight vacuum within the tub. The tub consists of a double skinned container. The outer container is made from transparent plastic. The inner container is furnished with rows of holes (3) equally spaced around the walls of the container which allow surplus fluid in the cheese to drain away. The tube may more easily be emptied.
