Abstract

The food processing system which cooks, heats up or thaws food by hot air and steam is carried out by spraying water into the circulating hot air current in the region of the heating elements whilst at least one part of the hot air current is passed through a water bath which is mounted in the muffle furnace of the processing unit. This water bath can be easily produced by inclining the base of the unit like a dish (1) and providing a stop stock (3) at the lowest point. a controllable outlet (5) can be provided between the upper edge (11) of the door and the housing (12).
