Abstract

The pallet is manufactured from polyethylene or other suitable plastics material. The corners (18) or supporting feet consist of a rectangle strengthened by a number of internal ribs emanating from a central point. The feet are connected by rows of parallel ribbing (19, 20, 21) and (22, 23, 24). Each rib has a rectangular section and the major dimension is vertical. The ribs are strengthened at the join of the corner foot by means of two additional ribs (31, 32). The ribs may be replaced by a box section girder with longitudinal slots in the top and bottom faces of the box extending over the central portion of the girder.
