Abstract

The labels are held in a reservoir (1). Underneath the reservoir is a rotor (7) provided with three suction plates (8) disposed equally around the periphery. A fork (3) having an up and motion (4) transfers labels between the reservoir and the suction plates, the rotation of the rotor being interrupted at the moment of transfer. As the rotor rotates, a marking roller (14) prints any required data onto the label as it passes. Underneath the rotor is another rotor (20), rotating in the opposite direction but with the same speed and also provided with three suction plates. The labels are transferred from one rotor to the other by suction and then pressed onto the top surface of the box (25) passing under the lower rotor at the same linear speed.
