Abstract

The shaft (3) is fitted at the outer end of the assembly with a tight fitting lip seal (28) which revolves with the shaft. The lip of the seal abuts against a fixed ring (21) which has an L-section. The fixed ring is housed into the stationary part of the seal (1). The roller bearing consists of an inner race (13) and an outer race (11). The roller bearing (9) rotate between the inner and outer race. The outer race is extended to cover the inside of the race extension protects the outside of a packing ring (19) which is also located by the plate (18).
