Abstract

A roller for agricultural uses such as treating cereals and grass or compaction of soil, comprises a row of new or used pneumatic tyres (6) held in place by end rims (5) and supported in a frame towed by a tractor. The tyres (6) are carried on wheels (3) fixed on a shaft (2) supported by the frame. The wheels (3) are connected together by angle members (4) which are fixed to the end rims (5). Several parallel rollers may be mounted on one frame, or several frames may be linked together by hooks which provide sufficient play between the frames to accommodate irregularities of the terrain. A platform may be provided on the frame for an optional ballast weight.
