Abstract

The equipment manipulates and locks window shutter flaps open or shut using manually operated links. Each shutter has a link pivoting on it at a fixed point (2) at one end, and on a sliding component at the other. This secures it in the fully-open position against the front of the building, the fully-shut one, and in numerous intermediate ones. The link can have two straight sections in the same plane, joined together at an angle of 40 deg.. The pivot point on the shutter can comprise a part fixed to the shutter and accommodating a vertical spindle for the link. The movable pivot point can comprise a vertical pin fitting in one of several holes in a horizontal supporting bar.
