Abstract

The sectional sign post may be used as a highway traffic direction indicator and has a tubular post (1) which receives radial "fingers" (14, 20). The "fingers" may be internally illuminated or reflective and are mounted on axially interfitting sleeves (10, 17). The sleeves are held in place by a capping spigot (28), a nut (23) and a threaded bar (9) which locates on the post axis. The post (1) may be of round hollow section and terminate at the top in a hollow spigot (7). The spigot (7) may be formed by forcefully inserting a length of tube of reduced dia, and may inc. a threaded socket (8) which locates the threaded core bar (9). Each of the "fingers" is mounted on a sleeve (10, 7) of similar dia. to the post (1) and terminating at the top in a similar spigot (11, 18).
