Abstract

A structure is impressed on a veneered fibre board or the like during operation of a veneering press. The structure pref. coincides with joints in the veneer, so as to give the appearance of an article carpentered in solid wood. During the same press operation, the other face of the board may also be dealt with: either it, too, is impressed with a structure, or it is covered with a flat veneer or a melamine film. The adhesive used is pref. a resin, e.g. (melamine)-urea-formaldehyde, phenol.
