Abstract

The grilling stand assembly is for use in cooking over an open fire, and uses a two-way wedge lock sliding coupling (12) between the grill (19) handle (20) and the stand post (13). The coupling (12) is designed to stay on the grill handle (20) within sliding limits (19, 42) and thus, improve the performance of the assembly. The grill (19) is mounted at one end of a bar handle (20) of rectangular section. The opposite end of the bar is twisted (42). The stand comprises an inclined post (13) of rectangular section bar with a tripod base (18). The coupling (12) may be a 'U' shaped plate with rectangular flange openings accommodating the handle (20). The grill and the twisted end prevent the coupling from leaving the handle. The web of the coupling is extended and normally slotted to accept the post (13) section. The cantilever effect of the grill (19, 20) locks the assembly at the desired setting.
