Abstract

The read-out unit is used for flexible data discs on which logic information is recorded by frequency doubling with each cell of the binary information element enclosed by a clock bit. The information read from the disc is fed to a series/parallel register (4), pref. with a capacity of 16 bits. The register (4) has a clock input (3) directly connected to the read-out head (1), a reset input (5) connected to a monostable circuit (2), a third input (6) for the logic level '1' and a fourth input (7) for the logic level '0'. The parallel outputs of the register (4) are coupled to a decoer circuit (8).
