Abstract

The spring loaded chain bracelet (6) fastener has two half links (2, 3) built onto a rectangular joint plate (1). The major surface of the plate (1) lies on a bracelet (6) tangent, and one end only of each half-link (2, 3) is built onto opposed plate (1) sides. The free end (2a, 3a) of the half links terminate adjacent to the plate (1) but are relatively offset in the direction externally normal to the major plate plane. A spring loaded movable plate (7) which oscillates normally to the joint plate (1), moves down to open the half-links and recoils to close. The movable plate may have inward returned 'L' shaped flanges (9, 11, 10, 12) on opposed edges so that it fits over the joint plate (1), and the spring (13) is enclosed between the two plates (1, 7).
