Abstract

The coupling has a central pivot pin(9) in the plane of the belt and extending over its width. The pin is encircled by a number of plates(2a) and (6a) which cover the two ends of the belt(4) on both surfaces. The plates are joined together with staples(10) and (11) which pass through both plates and the belt. The ends of the staples(14) are bent over along the axis of the belt so as to point away from the direction of motion. The plates are recessed so that the staples do not protrude over the surface of the belt.
