Abstract

The distributor of the fertiliser spreader consists of a left hand and right hand ramp (1) which when operating are in a position vertical to the direction in which the support chassis (3) is moving; when not operating, the ramps are flapped up to both sides of the support chassis. Each of the ramps (1) has a conveyor for the product, in the form of Archimedes screws, with an outer pipe with outlet holes in. The distance between two adjacent outlets is in proportion to the throughput rate of the product. The bottom of the ramps (1) have slide pieces on the edge of the line drawn through the outlet holes, and which can be moved parallel so as to close, partly or completely, the outlet holes. Attachments fix the slide pieces in position. Each ramp (1) is moved from an operating to a non-operating position by means of an arm (13) which is at right angles to the main axis of the ramps. One end of the arm is hinged to a universal joint, and the other end rests on a bar fixed to the chassis with roller in between.
