Abstract

Rapid drying device for brick batches consists of a number of branched drying towers in series each one having its own lifting gear for raising each batch of bricks from a loading stage at the bottom of a tower by a chain belt mechanism to the top of the lower, then lowering it onto transfer equipment to move it to the next drying tower. Each tower is swept by hot air from at least one ventilation circuit, the air being blown perpendicular across each batch. Arrangement is more compact than tunnel ovens.
