Abstract

The microfilm display method uses a number of peripheral unit. Each of these units has a keyboard as a remanence display console. The unit may be equipped with an image memory electronic tube or a video magnetic disc. the peripheral units are connected by transmission lines and by a concentrator to a central computer. The computer is connected by a transmission line to a number of identical data banks. Each data bank is associated with a microfilm selector and positioner. This positions a microfilm in an electronic reader such as a camera. Each device is connected by a transmission line to an image transmitter. This transmitter has circuits designed to send selectively the different microimages from the cameras to the video storing memories.
