Abstract

A dentifrice contains a haemostatic agent as well as usual excipients and polishing and cleaning agents. The dentrifice has curative action on dystrophy, parodontopathy, gingivitis and general lesions of the gingival epithelium. Pref. the haemostatic agent is L-ascorbic acid or one of its salts. Pref. the ascorbic acid (salt) is stabilised, esp. with EDTA/NaSO3. Compsn. has activity against pathological and accidental lesions of the gingival epithelium. Antibody prodn. is increased and trophic action on connective tissue is observed wit stimulation of phagocytic activity of the leucocytes.
