Abstract

An automatic correction stage for sound reproduction systems allows high volume l.f. signals to be reduced using a power amplifier with variable feedback switching. The output of the amplifier is coupled to a low pass filter consistency of a resistance (RI) and capacitance (CI) with a lamp (L) connected in the loudspeaker circuit. The lamp is activated when an l.f. signal is generated that exceeds a predetermined level. A photo resistance (LDR) reacts to the light and reduces the signal level by up to 12dB.
