Abstract

The bicycle rack is adapted for carrying on the roof of a motor car. It is mounted on parallel struts with a vertical beam for holding the front fork after the front wheel has been removed. A rest projecting from the rear of the runners locates the rear wheel in position. A rigid framework is placed on the runners which are secured to the vehicle roof. It is comprised of lateral steel tubes which are turned up at the front end to form a triangle. A rotating location bolt is passed through the apex to secure the wheel locating lugs of the bicycle front fork.
