Abstract
The flaps are used to adjust the flow over air cooled condensers and similar. Each flap comprises two identical extruded aluminium sections, fixed to a central shaft by means of diametrical bolts. Two identical sections are fitted at 180 deg. to form opposite hands and their opening is regulated by lever operated arms. Each section has a straight portion (3), one end being turned upwards to form a sealing lip (5) co-operating with that adjacent. The other end is turned down (4) to form one half of the central axis. Both halves slot together by means of interlocking ribs (11,12) on each side.
