Abstract

The flood level drains off where a pipe-line (11) carrying mixed water opens into a chamber (10). In the section within the chamber, the pipe-line has a fixed cone (12), which is connected with a separator pipe (13) which, in turn, is connected with a collector for dirty water, which comes out of the chamber. The section of a further pipe-line (20) lying within the chamber has an orifice which accepts clear water flowing out of the orifices (16, 17, 17a) in the cone (12) and in the tube (13). Part (12) of the orifice (17, 17a) of the tube (13) can be adjusted with the aid of adjustable mechanisms (18, 19). The fixed cone (12) and the separator tube (13) form a joint within the chamber (10). The adjusting mechanisms consists of a tube (13) of semi-cylindrical cross-section. The tube can be moved radically within the flanges (19).
